Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use essential oils in the sauna?
The right dose depends on the oil: for mild oils, 3-5 drops in a bucket of 300-500 ml of water; for strong oils like camphor or oregano, no more than 1-2 drops per 500 ml (see each oil’s own dosing table). Pour over the hot stones in small amounts. Never apply undiluted oil directly to the stones - always dilute in water first for even scent distribution.
Are your oils safe for skin?
Essential oils must always be diluted in a carrier oil before skin application (typically 2-3% dilution). Conduct a patch test first. Some oils - like Bergamot and Lemon - increase sun sensitivity; avoid sunlight after use.
Which oils are best for relaxation?
Lavender, Clary Sage, Neroli, and Rose are our top picks for relaxation. Lavender is the most versatile - safe for most people and effective in any setting.
Which oils are energising?
Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Rosemary, and Lemon are great for focus and energy. Eucalyptus is the classic sauna choice for clearing airways and boosting alertness.

How many drops per sauna session?
For strong oils (Oregano, Camphor): 1-2 drops per ladle. For medium oils (Lavender, Bergamot): 4-6 drops. For light oils (Lemon, Orange): 5-7 drops. Always start with less and adjust to preference.
Can I mix oils?
