• Fill your ladle bucket with about 500 ml of warm water.

• Stir well. Essential oils do not dissolve in water, so swirl the ladle before each pour.
• Ladle gradually onto the stones, a small pour at a time, and let the löyly - the rising steam - carry the scent through the room.
• Never pour undiluted oil onto hot stones. Neat oil flashes off instantly, produces an acrid and potentially irritating vapour, and is a genuine fire risk.
• Ventilate between rounds and keep drinking water. If the air ever feels sharp in your chest or eyes, air the room out and use fewer drops next time.
